Vanity File for Sara's Page O' Happiness

This should tell you more than you ever wanted to know about me...

So, some trivia: I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have for the past four and a half years. I was born in Chicago and grew up in Michigan. I have brown hair and eyes and I'm not tall (which is a polite way of saying that I'm pretty darn short). I'm twenty-seven years old, but look like I'm about nineteen. I went to Mills College, and have a degree in European history.

Among other jobs, I worked for Marvel Comics in New York as an assistant editor, for about two years (1987 to 1989), and I've worked as a door-to-door canvasser for a consumer group (I was terrible at it), assisted an epidemiologist (that's a statistical medical researcher, not a dermatologist!) with her charts and graphs for papers and presentations, worked in comic shops and once was a temp for the drug-testing department at a utility company (quite interesting, as you may imagine!). I was the production manager at a small software company in the Silicon Valley for a year and a half, then left to be licensing manager at Zorro Productions in Berkeley. I've been at Zorro for almost a year now.

I'm one of the actors at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Marin County, playing a servant in the Queen's Court. I've only been doing this for a few years, though (a total of three Faires to date--two in Northern California and one in Southern). My character is named Jane Barnes and she's the Under-Stillroom-Maid for the Earl and Countess of Bath.

More trivia: I'm allergic to cats, dogs, and all furry animals. Green is my favorite color, and I hate eggplant.

Oh, one other thing. Lately, I've been trying to write down some of the stories I've told various children over the years, and also to create some new ones. Unfortunately, I don't like any of the endings yet. I have several fairly promising beginnings, but they either don't end at all or have no satisfactory conclusion. I may put some of them up here for you to read and comment on at some point, if you're interested. Once I get regular Internet access again, I have a semi-interactive fairy tale to add to the page (assuming I've written an ending by then!).
